What is your name and graduation year?
T.J. Saddler, 2022

What is your major or degree program? 
Liberal arts

What do you hope to do after completing your degree?
Finish the SPED [K-12] fast track program, finish the [Master of Education in] Ed Leadership program, and finish the Ph.D. in education program.

How is Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà preparing you to reach your goals?
Coursework is pushing me to be a leader. Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ's learning environment is fostering my desire to be a lifetime learner.

Who has been a major influence for you during your education at Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ? How have they helped you?
My best friend, Dr. Lucas Kellison, has been the benchmark for my educational journey. Lucas is my longtime best friend and the perfect model for academic success.

What is something you're proud of accomplishing or achieving while at Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ?
I'm proud of being an example for my son and other African-American boys. I was valedictorian of my graduating class scoring a perfect 4.0 GPA.

What advice would you give to an incoming student?
I would tell an incoming student to remain focused on the mission. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Never lose sight of the reason why you are here.

What's something you like about yourself that other people may not know?
I like that I am an avid reader. I believe reading is fundamental for success. I used to hate reading. Since starting this academic journey at Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ, I've fallen in love with reading.

What is something you've really enjoyed about your time at Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ?
I've really enjoyed the small class environment and direct instruction.
